This year’s Great Backyard Bird Count 4 Kids was a great success, with 38 species counted by 28 young birders (mostly between the ages of 7-12) across this two-day event.

Education Committee Volunteer, Cliff Feldheim helped close-out the summer adventures at Camp Adobe.

SAS Volunteer, Rich Howard, met with a group of University of California, Davis students and educators to consider local freshwater ecosystems at Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary.

Cliff Feldheim spent the morning with 45 K-6 campers at Camp Adobe, engaging the kids with hands on activities and seeing their awe and wonder as they examined the colors of the speculum on a Mallard wing or gasped in amazement at the size of a hummingbird egg!
