Join us at the Natomas Charter School main campus for a very fun, hands-on nature event! A Bioblitz is a participatory science survey of the biodiversity- animals, plants, insects, fungi, etc of a given area, using the platform Inaturalist. It is something anyone can participate in, regardless of experience level in identifying organisms. We will be searching for and learning the names of any animals, plants, insects, etc, taking notes on their traits, behaviors, and overall learning from them through interacting with them firsthand. Use this form to sign up for either round. There has never been a biodiversity survey at this location before; by participating in this bioblitz, you are helping to put together the first understanding of the biodiversity here. You do NOT have to be affiliated with the Natomas Charter School community to attend, this event is open to anyone with an interest in learning more about nature!
