Directions

From Sacramento: Take Highway 99/70 North. When Highways 99 and 70 split, stay on 99 and drive about 6 miles, crossing the Feather River bridge. The first signed street after the bridge is Sacramento Ave; drive 1.0 miles farther north and turn right on Laurel Avenue.

From Marysville/Yuba City: Take Hwy 99 South to just past the old Dingville sign, then turn left on Laurel Avenue.

Once on Laurel Avenue, drive east about 0.75 miles until you reach an "End" sign and “Not a County Road” sign. Beyond this point the road is on private land. Please drive slowly across the heavy duty tread grate. Continue on until you reach the "Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary" sign, parking lot, kiosk and metal barn.

VISITORS BE AWARE:
If the parking lot at Bobelaine is full, please do not park on the private property west of Bobelaine. Parking on this property may result in your vehicle being towed. Please refer to the Parking Map for the private property locations, marked in red. This map is also posted at the entrance to Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary.

The gate on the private road leading to Bobelaine can temporarily be closed (without notice) due to agricultural operations. It usually reopens within a short time period. Area farmers try to provide advance notice of gate closing. Advance closing notices will be posted at the top of this page.

If you witness or have information about a poaching or polluting incident, or any fish and wildlife violation, immediately dial the toll free CalTIP number 1 888 334-CALTIP (888 334-2258). Volunteer at Bobelaine

You can volunteer to help maintain Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary. Several Volunteer Workdays are held every month. Check out Sacramento Audubon's Calendar of Events  for upcoming volunteer workdays. Typical duties include cutting brush and overhead growth along the trails, removing invasive plants, mowing weeds, helping maintain the newly planted pollinator garden, and cleanup around the picnic area and equipment shed. Email Bill Bianco to sign up to volunteer or for more information. Please be advised poison oak is prevalent at the sanctuary.

Current volunteers should complete the Bobelaine Volunteer Reimbursement Form once each quarter. Click the prior link for access to and instructions on completing the form.
