This evening tour of Meiss Rd in eastern Sacramento County offers a good chance for Lesser Nighthawks, as well as other grassland birds. Horned Larks and Meadowlarks will be in full song. Grasshopper Sparrows are possible but can be hard to find. Plan for portions of the road being bumpy but passable in most vehicles. The best chance for nighthawks will be after sunset but before complete darkness sets in.

Directions and confirmation of exact meeting location and time will be provided upon registration.
