This is a Sacramento Valley Conservancy event. Registration is required.
This Saturday we’ll be promoting outdoor volunteerism for go-getters of all ages, in partnership with Sacramento County Regional Parks’ Family Health & Fitness Day.
All ages and skill levels are welcome. Get outside and get healthy while improving our parkway habitat. We are also partnering with the California Department of Fish & Wildlife for Invasive Species Action Week. Our volunteer project will include an overview of invasive plants, how to identify common local culprits, properly remove them, and help restore native habitat for our pollinators.
New and returning volunteers are welcome! Roll up your sleeves and make some new friends as we give Camp Pollock a little love. Monthly Saturday service days are great for new volunteers, students needing community service hours, or simply a rewarding way to start your weekend. Tasks vary depending on property needs, and may include planting, weed eradication, construction, cleaning, painting, digging, fence building, mopping, window washing, outreach, native plant propagation/maintenance, and more.
