Help Maintain the New Pollinator Garden at Bobelaine

Sacramento Audubon is asking for your help in maintaining the new pollinator garden at Bobelaine Audubon Sanctuary. In February 2024 volunteers installed this new garden. A 15’x 20’ plot was planted with native seeds to attract Monarchs and other butterflies and insects.

All gardens need regular upkeep, and we need your help in maintaining the pollinator garden at Bobelaine. Tasks might include single visits for weeding, raking, watering, or counting butterflies. In September milkweed plugs will be delivered and we will need help planting these and making sure they thrive for the Monarchs to lay their eggs.

All of Bobelaine is maintained and managed by volunteers. This new project is no exception. To that end, if you are a person who likes working in gardens or if contributing to this effort is appealing, please contact Maureen Geiger at mkgeiger@comcast.net or 916-281-6652 or Bill Bianco at biancowm@yahoo.com.
