Road closures continue to affect access to the Cosumnes River Preserve but the Preserve remains open to the public.

Every March, the Effie Yeaw Nature Center offers two special weekend birding walks coupled with wonderful breakfast fare.

Sacramento Audubon Society is partnering with State Parks and Effie Yeaw to host a Great Backyard Bird Count for Kids on February 17th and 18th. 

In 2023 from January 15 to December 15, we arranged 113 field trips. Additionally, 9 Beginning Birder trips and 9 Family Friendly trips at Effie Yeaw Nature Center were provided by the Beginning Birder and Effie Yeaw groups.
