Sacramento Audubon has a variety of volunteer opportunities available at present.

Since it was added to the website in 2020 the Sacramento Area Birds Checklist, last updated in 2009, has been one of the most popular pages on the Sacramento Audubon website. In 2023 the website committee decided to see if it could be updated.

Every March, the Effie Yeaw Nature Center offers two special weekend birding walks coupled with wonderful breakfast fare.

Sacramento Audubon Society is partnering with State Parks and Effie Yeaw to host a Great Backyard Bird Count for Kids on February 17th and 18th. 

In 2023 from January 15 to December 15, we arranged 113 field trips. Additionally, 9 Beginning Birder trips and 9 Family Friendly trips at Effie Yeaw Nature Center were provided by the Beginning Birder and Effie Yeaw groups.
