Join Lynne and explore Mather Lake and the surrounding grasslands. This area can host a variety of birds, even in July.

This is a good trip for beginners as well as experienced birders. For a list of birds we may spot here’s the eBird link for this area Mather Lake, Sacramento, California, United States - eBird Hotspot  Bring water and insect repellent and be prepared for hot weather. There are bathrooms available at this location. A Sac County Park Pass or $7 entry fee is required for all vehicles.

Meeting Location: Meet Lynne in the parking lot of Mather Regional Park.

Directions: From Highway 50 go south on Zinfandel (Exit #17), about 2-1/2 miles. After crossing Douglas Blvd, take the first left into the park area.
