Field Trip Leader: Tim Manolis

This annual trip to see dragonflies and damselflies is always a treat. With Tim’s expertise as the author of a field guide to California dragonflies and damselflies, you can be sure to see a variety of species. Tim will spend 2 or 3 hours looking for dragonflies in a location to be determined, ending the trip around noon.

Bring your binoculars, water to drink, and a snack. You may wear footwear suitable for wading, although it won’t be a requirement. You will probably be walking through weeds for a short stretch (including star thistle) so long pants and shoes might be preferable.

Tim will be scouting several sites prior to the day of the trip and will select the best one. Directions and confirmation of exact meeting location and time will be provided to registrants.
