Meet at 6:30 AM at the Park-N-Ride
Meet at 8:15 AM at the Trailhead
Expect about 3 to 4 hours on the trail.

We will bird in Carpenter Valley, along a lovely 2.75 mile in-and-out trail along Prosser Creek (built by the Truckee Donner Land Trust). We expect to see migrating warblers, tanagers, Sandhill Cranes, perhaps Clark’s Nutcrackers, beavers and more.

Bring water, lunch and wear hiking boots. Insect repellant would be a good idea as well. No dogs allowed. 

Meet Dana at the Park-N-Ride on Horseshoe Bar Road in Loomis at 6:30 or at the Lower Carpenter Valley Trailhead at 8:15. Directions and confirmation of exact meeting location and time will be provided upon registration.
