SAS Field Trip: Carpenter Valley

Registration is required for this trip and will be limited to 8  participants. Please email Dana to register.

Field Trip Leader: Dana Miller-Blair

We will bird in Carpenter Valley, along a lovely 2.75 mile in-and-out trail along Prosser Creek (built by the Truckee Donner Land Trust). We expect to see warblers, tanagers, Sandhill Cranes, perhaps Clark’s Nutcrackers, beavers and more.

Bring water and lunch, and wear hiking boots. Insect repellant would be a good idea as well. No dogs allowed.

Participants can meet at the Park N Ride at 7:00 AM or the trailhead 9:00 AM. Expect 3-4 hours on the trail.

Directions and confirmation of exact meeting location will be provided upon registration.
