About the Presentation

Chris Conard

Chris has had the rare privilege of spending over 6,000 days in the field managing habitat for, monitoring, enjoying and sharing the birds at the 2,000+-acre Bufferlands surrounding the EchoWater Facility (wastewater treatment plant) between Sacramento and Elk Grove. He will share interesting finds, trends, habitat relationships, and photos of many of the nearly 250 species he has seen at the Bufferlands. He will also share a bit of the winding path that led him to the Bufferlands and the pleasure of getting to know a place so well that it is (almost) never boring.
