Birding the Canal

This is a Folsom Lake SRA event. Registration is required.

Join State Park Interpreter Nicole to explore a trail that will take us right up to the Folsom Prison fence line.  We will be walking along the Historic Folsom Canal, which once provided water, diverted from what is now Lake Natoma, for the operation of the Folsom Powerhouse.  This area is surprisingly birdy for being so close to Folsom.  We may even get lucky and see a Peregrine Falcon, or Bald Eagle.  Open to all birding levels, this trip will be slow-paced, and we will be taking the time to appreciate bird behavior along the way.
