Folsom Lake SRA: Birds and Blooms

This is a Folsom Lake SRA event. Registration is required.

Join State Park Interpreter Nicole for some slow-paced birding and wildflower spotting. Spring is an exciting time to look for nesting bird behaviors and listening for singing, plus the flowers will be putting on a show! Looking up in the air and down on the ground, all the spring colors have come to town!

Open to all levels of bird and wildflower appreciators, we will be taking the time to both observe bird behaviors and identify wildflowers along the way. Feel free to add your observations to iNaturalist and we will also be keeping a group e-bird list as we go. The trail is unpaved, with some steep and rocky sections, and over half the walk will be in full sun. Bring plenty of water, snacks, and sun protection. Please leave your canine companions at home, as we will be observing wildlife.

Bring your binoculars, or borrow a pair from us, and let's see what species springtime has brought us this year!
