Delta Meadows State Park Property Birdwalk

From California State Parks

Join our Parks interpreters for a light hike through the riparian oak woodlands and emergent wetlands of the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta as we search for the many species of birds that call the Delta home. We'll walk through multiple types of habitats and discuss how the birds that live and migrate through the Delta interact with them. With a bit of luck, we can see many of the spectacular birds that spend their time in Delta Meadows, such as great blue herons, Swainson's hawks, and many more!

The hike will depart from the Delta Meadows parking lot at 9:00 A.M. Please arrive prior. The hike will take around an hour and a half to two hours and will cover approximately 1 mile. Please bring water and sun protection.
