California Swan Festival

“This Year, the Land Is Our Festival Hub"
This year, the Swan Festival is going all-in on guided tours — no central hub, no presenters. Instead, our staff and board will be out in the field at every tour, supporting guides, connecting with partners, and engaging with our community.

We may bring the hub back in future years, but for now, we’re excited to meet you out on the land!

Why Your Support Matters
The California Swan Festival is more than a celebration of nature—it’s a vital fundraiser that supports the mission and ongoing work of the Sutter Buttes Regional Land Trust. Proceeds from the event help fund our core programs, including:

  •  Land Conservation – protecting critical open space, farmland, and wildlife habitat in the Sutter Buttes region and beyond.

  •  Stewardship – ensuring long-term care and management of the lands we’ve protected.

  •  Community Outreach & Education – offering inclusive, place-based experiences that connect people to the land.

  •  Organizational Operations – sustaining the dedicated staff, tools, and infrastructure we need to do this work effectively.

By attending, donating, or sponsoring the event, you are directly investing in the future of our local landscapes and the people who depend on them.

Swan Festival Tours
The Swan Festival will have a variety of tours for all interest levels and ages.  Enjoy bird-watching tours, explore the beauty of local flora and fauna, hike in the mysterious Sutter Buttes volcanic range, visit a local rice farm, or get an introduction to birding. Registration for tours opens on October 7, 2025
