Herons, woodpeckers, and finches, oh my! Join us for a stroll along the American River to look for the wide diversity of birds around the Nimbus Fish Hatchery. Bring comfortable walking shoes, sun protection, and binoculars if you have them. Extra binoculars will be provided, and no pre-registration required. Parking and admission to the hatchery area is free!

Meet in the hatchery parking lot. From Hwy 50 go north on Hazel Avenue; turn left on Gold Country Blvd. Make an immediate right on Nimbus Road and follow the signs to the hatchery.
