Matthew Flores was Artist Ambassador for the Del Rio Trail project in 2024. His ease inspiring and teaching folks to create beautiful works is a special talent. But then putting together a spectacular collage of these disparate and ecclectic pieces is an art in itself. Hear about how Matthew came into ceramics and where he finds his inspirations.

This presentation is one of a series of meetings, public conversations, presentations, and workshops that will be held throughout 2026. These events are designed to infuse memories and meaning into the ten artists created benches that will be fabricated and installed in 2027.

Community Care Holder partners and their Artist Ambassodors will share their connections to the Natomas Area and the Birds and Benches theme. These conversations will help inform our Bench Design Artists and inspire their Art Benches.
