Past Field Trips Each page is linked to a past issue of the Observer. To see which birds were found in each trip, look for the Trip Findings (generally on page 2).
Field Trips are updated monthly and offer a wide variety of areas and birding experiences. Trips are listed by date and location. Each trip entry will show general information such as where to meet, time, trip leaders name and contact phone numbers and email. All trips are scheduled by the Field Activities Committee of The Sacramento Audubon Society.
You don't need to be a member of Audubon to attend field trips. The public is encouraged to attend and become familiar with one of the fastest growing hobbies in the US. Trip leaders will help you spot birds and help you learn how to identify specific birds. If you are in a party of 5 or more, please make prior arrangements with the trip leaders.
Walkie-talkies (CB) or FRS radios can be helpful on non-local trips.
Report rare & unusual bird sightings and or questions about birds on the Sacramento Birds Group Email List . Follow the link for instructions on how to sign up. It's easy.
